team \ ˈtēm
Our “team” has been busy, busy, busy, so this week we are posting on a Thursday!
Definition of team:
1: a number of persons associated together in work or activity
2: two or more draft animals harnessed to the same vehicle or implement
3: group of animals
In our line of work, it takes a team to get anything done. This weekend we were a part of a great team that helped produce a fabulous wedding for a lovely family. After the wedding this weekend I received the following from the Mother of the Bride:
“Amazing…I really mean AMAZING! You executed a perfect dinner for 180ish people! And I am stunned that your white chef’s jacket was pristine…please show me the one with gravy spilled down the front so that I know you are human!! All kidding aside, what a lovely dinner you created for the most special evening in our lives. Here’s to you and your staff who worked extremely hard to make it all look effortless and seamless, not to mention absolutely delicious!”
It is always so special when we get feedback like this from our customers, as it reinforces the fact that we are surrounded by an awesome team!
The event was beautiful thanks to Ivy Robinson Events, Party Tables, Nuage, John Lupton, Atheneum, Lucy’s Lettering, CE, Party Reflections, Jami Svay, Allison Kuhn Photography, Heartstone Films, The Art of Cake, David Klingel – The Event Professor, Wink Lighting, The Mint Museum of Art, Sol Fusion and yours truly Porcupine Provisions. The event was beautifully executed by a team of professionals who worked well together to pull off a fabulous wedding. Please enjoy the pictures below!
In thinking about the concept of teamwork, it’s easy to see that if we can all work together socially, politically and even for work, the world would run better and be a lot happier. Here’s to more teamwork this week and remembering there is no “I” in team.
